The deadline to register your interest for the CSJBA team trials to play at the Baseball NSW State Cup and Development Cup, has been extended until August 14th.
Despite the fact that we are experiencing unprecedented times, BNSW is committed to continue to provide its members with development opportunities by conducting training programs, games, competitions and tours. The following is the first of such to provide our junior players with the opportunity to play more games at an increased standard across three junior age groups between October and Xmas. Whilst not an official Little League tournament, Baseball NSW has received permission from Little League International to conduct this competition as long as it is finalised before Christmas 2020.
BNSW State Cup / Development Cup
Age Groups
League Age 11 & 12 Players born between September 2008 & August 2010
League Age 13 & 14 Players born between September 2006 & August 2008
League Age 15 & 16 Players born between September 2004 & August 2006
Division 1 – State Cup
Associations will provide one team each in each age group to compete for the State Cup championship, played on a home and away basis every 2nd weekend from mid October to mid December. This competition is meant to be highly competitive, with the best playing against the best in a round robin finishing with a finals weekend to determine the champion team.
Division 2 – Development Cup
The purpose of this program is for development only, with each Association able to enter as many teams in each age group as they would like. This program will be played on the alternate weekends to the State Cup competition.
The trial process will determine which division you are placed in.
We ask that all players register their interest by 7pm Friday 14th August, 2020 so we can start organising coaches and trials.
