T-Ball Training

18 August 2022

Training for kids joining our T-Ball teams will commence at 5:30pm on Wednesday, 24 August. All families intending to play T-Ball this coming season should attend this session ongoing.

At our first session, we will commence sorting the kids into teams and grades:

  • T-Ball Minor: League Age 4-6
  • T-Ball Major: League Age 6-8

Note: If your child is League Age 8 and fairly confident, they may like to join our Zooka teams instead. Zooka trains at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings.

We would also encourage you to register your child, if you have not as yet had the opportunity to do so. If you experience any difficulties, we would ask you to get in contact with our Junior team (Ralf, Dennis & Chris) via email: juniors@scotsbaseball.org.au, for assistance with registering your child.

What to they need to bring: baseball mitt, bat, batting helmet, water.

What they should wear: training uniform (grey baseball pants and training shirt) or comfortable clothes they can move in, no open shoes such as thongs, sandals or crocs for safety.

Kids will need a playing shirt these are available for order for $70.

We also have training shirts with thanks to our amazing sponsors. We will taking your child’s size for their training shirts over the next while. If your child is a returning player, and has an existing shirt that no longer fits, please return it washed and dry, and let us know your child needs to have a new size.

You can find out more about our uniform and gear requirements, here. Any questions, just ask!

If you are joining our T-Ball teams this year, you are welcome to join our Facebook group here.

The season itself starts on Saturday, 10 September. Games for T-Ball are typically held at 9am with the occasional 10-10:30am game, this is of course subject to the number of teams and field availability across all Junior teams and clubs. You can find the 2022/23 competition schedule, here.
