What has been happening around the Club during the winter season…
- UNSW are playing their home games at Phil Austin in the Winter State League.
- We are in the process of acquitting the grant that we have received:
- we have replaced the backnetting on Field 1 with new nylon netting,
- have made a place to store the portable batting turtle,
- finished the batting tunnels with new hack attack machine installed in the new storage area and made it fully automatic controlled.
- We have installed 6 surveillance cameras for the security of the fields.
- Installed new rubber around the fields on bottom of the fence line for security.
- Looking at purchasing a new lawn mower to replace old mower.
- Topping up the fields with new diamond sand on both diamonds.
- Repaired the field lights so as we can have better lighting for our training nights.
We will be receiving our next grant so we can start the first stage of the Clubhouse extensions, which will include the cover way in front of the Clubhouse for more shade in Summer.
Also we will be running a T-Ball program in the months of July and August on the Sundays, for a 6-week duration as recruitment program leading into the Summer season. We are looking for volunteers to help out, so please contact Laurie.
